The WordPress for Websites Workshop
Saturday, November 19, 10am–2pm in ATLANTA.
With WordPress at your fingertips, there is no reason to pay someone else to run and manage your business website anymore!
WordPress is an open-source content management software that, when paired with the right theme, can function just as beautifully as a custom-coded html website. And the best part is that YOU have the power to go in and edit your content without having to pay someone or wait for someone to do it for you. Think about it! You could have your business website up and running in no time!
You can further customize WordPress functionality with themes! Think about WordPress themes as the “clothes” for your blog. You can change the arrangement and colors, import custom headers and other graphic elements, and update the look and feel of your blog with just a click of a button. Often, you can find WordPress themes available for free online, most of the time with helpful FAQs or even interactive forums to get your questions answered. There are themes designed to look like magazines, photo galleries, traditional blogs and more!
And this doesn’t even touch on how important blogging is to spread your business footprint around the web.
Oh, and did I mention that WordPress is FREE! And constantly updated? I have clients who were paying several hundred dollars each month to have very basic web pages! STOP it! With WordPress, you can self-host on your own domain for as little as $3-4 a month!
Register for this four hour technical workshop now!
Atlanta Workshop is November 19, 10am–2pm!
My favorite theme is Suffusion. I use Suffusion with all of my clients because it is reliable, extremely customizable and is updated frequently (This website uses Suffusion). The support forums are active and a there is also an in-depth FAQ and you can subscribe to email updates from the developer! Suffusion also comes pre-packaged with SEO tools that break down the seemingly complicated process of optimizing your images, posts and pages for search engines.
