Usually I experience extreme prejudice regarding my abilities to host a  school fundraiser on account of my notorious penchant for blue humor and creative profanity. So thank God The Right Brain Ball is an adult-only event even though the purpose is to raise money for Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School. And by “adult-only,” I don’t mean I’ll wear the purple pasties I save for those occasions when the crowd’s attention tends to wander. I mean this is a night out for parents sans the little sprogettes. Much hoopla will be had, including a full bar and food catered by Endive. But the real reason to attend is the auction items (other than, you know, the future of humanity). I personally like the Bahamas getaway to a private island, which includes private jet service. Last time I went I ended up in Jamaica for five days at the estate of Oscar Hammerstein (of Rogers and Hammerstein fame). I think I paid $1.50 tops, so get yer asses out there tonight to rake in the deals and do what you can to keep the world from devolving into a big wad of wasted potential.
